Is my donation a charitable contribution?

Gifts to projects featured on Make a STATEment are considered charitable contributions to New Mexico State University. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. The minimum when making a gift online is $5.

Will I receive a receipt for my contribution?

Yes! You will receive a gift acknowledgment and tax receipt from New Mexico State University Foundation.

How can I double my donation?

Thousands of companies match gifts to higher education, which can double or triple your gift.

If so, please contact your Human Resources representative for a matching gift form. You may need to provide NMSU’s Employer Identification Number (EIN) on the form, which is 85-0170157.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card is charged immediately upon finalizing your gift on the Make a STATEment website.

Can I give by mail or phone?

Make a STATEment provides a platform to easily make online gifts. If you are interested in giving to a particular Make a STATEment project by phone or mail please contact loyaltygiving@nmsu.edu for more information.

What do the project giving levels represent?

Make a STATEment project giving levels represent suggested donation amounts with a description of the types of things you will help make possible within each campaign. Individual gifts made on Make a STATEment to NMSU projects combine with other gifts to support the overall project needs. Your contribution might not be allocated directly to a specifically described item; your gift will go where it will do the most good by combining it with the gifts of others to achieve the overall project goals.
